Thank you for your comment. I manufactured this door. Wood and metal.
Wood is chestnut. The texture of this wood is very beautiful. Iron was cut out with a saw to jig-saw. That with lasted 3 weeks. Then I used more than 1000 nails to fix iron on the door.

are the dragon scales overlapping? or is the metal scored to make it appear so?

Each dragon is composed by twenty different pieces. I cut out them in a thick metal sheeting of 0.8 milimeter. I assembled them like a puzzle. Each part is fixed by small nails on their extremities. I placed a space of 3 milimeters approximately between each element so that the patina is placed in this small space.
